Mixed feelings, but It's ok.

I recently purchased this skillet and have mixed feelings about it. Here are my observations:

Surface Texture:
The cooking surface varies in texture; while most areas feel smooth and even, there are patches that are somewhat grainy. This inconsistency can affect cooking performance and cleaning.

Handle Size and Comfort:
The handle is shorter than expected. I would have preferred it to be 1.5 to 2 inches longer and a bit rounder for better grip and comfort while cooking.

Handle Leather Grip:
The leather grip that came with the skillet is ineffective/useless. It doesn’t stick properly and swivels or slips when I try to hold the skillet, making it frustrating to use.

Overall, I feel the design could use some improvements to enhance usability.

Impressed by this locally made 12” cast iron skillet! The finish is smooth, the weight is perfect, and it comes pre-seasoned—though only time will tell how well that holds up. Love that they include a handle cover with the order, a nice touch. KRUCIBLE KITCHEN is doing a great job supporting quality local craftsmanship, and this skillet is proof. Great initiative! If the price doesn’t make you pause, you truly don’t understand the value you’re getting. Highly recommend it.
