The cast iron holds heat really well, so my food stays hot and sizzles beautifully when served. The 8-inch size is just right for individual servings, making it perfect for dinner parties or family meals. It's a bit heavy, but that's expected with cast iron and just shows its quality.

These cast iron griddles are perfect for making flour tortillas from scratch and for making quesadillas. You can also use them to cook pancakes as well as for cooking many other food items. The griddles are the right size, they are made of quality cast iron, and they have a nice wood base to pick up with (using a pot holder). I definitely recommend these griddles, and I may purchase some additional griddles for gifts to relatives.
